Stephen Kunken has been practicing law on Long Island for over 30 years. He tried over 50 felony cases to verdict as a trial attorney with the Nassau County Legal Aid Society. After an affiliation with a plaintiff's negligence firm for 4 years, he opened his own law practice in Commack, New York, and has concentrated in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury since 1986.
Mr. Kunken has served for the past 20 years as an adjunct professor at Touro Law Center teaching Trial Advocacy. He has served as a faculty member for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, and he has lectured extensively for the Nassau County Bar Association, the Suffolk County Bar association, and the New York State Bar association.
At the present time, Mr. Kunken is the co-chair of the Nuts and Bolts series of programs offered annually by the Suffolk Academy of Law. In addition, he has helped to coordinate the Trial Advocacy lectures and workshops sponsored by the Suffolk Academy of Law.
